Well a month after my urban radio commentary on the crime of black radio, we have the firing of BET TONIGHT'S TAVIS SMILEY. Which again proves that you can defecate on black people and get away with it, or can you?

VIACOM, since its buyout of BET, is well on the path to reducing the station to merely entertainment. I can see the white paint glowing around the lips, and smell the greasepaint on the buckdance. Already the network, as it slowly turns to a nitwork, is feeling it's oats, believing that you can buy and sell a culture with little recourse. 85% of the programming is already dumbed down to the mentality of a flunking 6th grader, contributing to the already idiotic box. In this case the class clown is rewarded again for stupidity, and instead of a dunce cap the fool wears a crown.

Of course, because of a starved craving for any so-called love, folk that we are, we’ll peep it from time to time because we wanna see ourself. But I admit mostly I keep the sound down and quite often use it as a fishtank. A booty and thug tank at that with bubbles courtesy of Cristal… Why do I need volume? Anyway, if the idiotbox stayed on, TAVIS SMILEY was the sole and soul reason I would turn the sound up, being the one chance to balance out and redeem the orgies of the day. Damn, TAVIS' show is church for what the rest of the nitwork throws at us.

This is a shot for black folks to make their presence felt, VIACOM and some of the NEGROVERSEERS sufferin us with their TOMSILITIS. They should be tarred and feathered in a millennial way. Calls might not just do the job, nor e-mails, nor faxes. Where are the cats that will wait outside VIACOM and follow CEO MEL KARMAZIN to his affluent home or neighborhood? Well, he's got the nerve to have impact in OUR cribs.

I personally don’t believe in peaceful boycotts. I believe right over wrong and that the so-called community tells it's police force what the law is to make sure it doesn’t get fu#ked over. But here we are punked into not having any collective power or political weight, therefore the police force is a police farce and will bust us in the head for taking the law in our own hands. But I would still find a way to make VIACOM sweat… believe that.

As far as the ratings bullsh#t, capitalism has dumbed many into thinking the most counts, majority rules, etc. Any fool would know by now that that is a crock of lying bullsh$t just by peeping the prezi dental selection. The point is that we're judged too much by quantity and not the quality in we the people, therefore the term sheeple might apply.

But peep it, often excuses are made by brilliant artistic/social commentary that doesn’t do as well at the box office as some comedic clown mix –murderdawg flick. I think the one million folks who've collectively seen ROSEWOOD/SOUL FOOD/BAMBOOZLED count more than the five million dumbflick attendees. It’s the theory of I'll take the top three out of ten cats to whip the other seven out, because of the quality of the top. The people watching TAVIS SMILEY weigh more, impact-wise, in that one hour, than the whole rest of the twenty three hours of brain beatdown.

But VIACOM views their investment by planting more lowended larvae into our young folks minds by the sponsored second, and f*ck what the adults from that community are saying. Thus the disrespect has to be answered… even if it squeezes a fear filled paranoid response. R.A.T. is on its way… the site which is called the radio attack terrorists. Radioattackterrorists.com is under construction so we appreciate all the response. The site will identify, target, and be a hosting area directed towards one sided media… VIACOM getting e-mail bombs as of this Terrordome.

If you care give them hell…

Oh yeah, I knew when BOB JOHNSON sold BET it would be lovely to attack the purchaser all got-damn day… and I will no doubt. BOB J is a nice man but I'm sure there were some nice hankerchiefhead negroverseers back in the slave day too. In the place where ignorance is celebrated daily, and where the clown wears a crown instead of the dunce cap one should smile while trying to burn that damn spot down…

CHUCK D ROLL CALL 2001

This is for the FAM that’s still here and it seems to be growing. I'm still working diversified like a dog to be all I can be and still give back. The www.slamjamz.com record label is pushed back to launch in April 2001. The reason why this site is so important to me is the fact of me being able to release a ton of mp3 product on it, and a slew of PE, FLAV, TX, GRIFF, DJ LORD, etc. for cats to get for literally free.

There is a subscription donation system set up and maybe that’s the difficult part, the integrating. Anyway, the bottom line is that with all the things I'm doing I'm not forgetting what got me here, it's just that I'm creating a platform that makes making recordings so much fun.

I mention once again my abnormal sked and duty list;

1. ARTICLES; A monthly piece in ELEMENTAL MAGAZINE called 'ON THE REAL', which will also be webcast and read visually on RAPSTATION TV. I also share writing duties with PROFESSOR GRIFF for HIP HOP CONNECTION in the UK called BEHIND THE ENEMY LINES. Neither article is reprinted or copied from these TERRORDOMES, which I write twice a month (well sorry, FEB is always short and I wanted to let R.A.T. marinate for a minute).
2. As I was flying up to NEW YORK this past week I ran into MUNSON STEED of ROLLING OUT magazine and it looks as if I'm gonna also write a monthly piece for that mag as well. The newspaper/mag is now in 15 cities and MR STEED is one of the success stories of the new age.

3. INTERNETWORKS; Now that www.bringthenoise.com is the main radio component of supersite www.rapstation.com it makes it a bit easier now that it's under one roof. Remember I do two webcasts a week… Thursdays at 9pm est SUITCASE RADIO; WHEN THE SH#T HITS THE FANS which highlights under the underground material submitted to me from across the rap map, and now MP3s from Rapstation as well. Saturdays I read hip hop news on the BEATS RHYMES and LIFE SHOW as well as play 4-5 cuts including rare full grooves. Now I'll also be reading e-mail sent to me as well as picking up some posts from the Noise Board.

4. PUBLIC ENEMY; What prompted this T-dome is that cats ask me all the time when I'm comin out with something. Like I said before archive and new releases will emerge on www.slamjamz.com as far as recording. A false alarm was out last month about PE being in the studio recording a ‘BLACK ALBUM’. It might be a name of some future project, but being that we have 4 digital based studios in 3 parts of this country we're always in the lab. But not necessarily PE. The www.publicenemy.com Enemy Board I peep everyday and post on the reg. I don’t know where the media sometimes comes up with that 'formerly' of Public Enemy BS. That’s like saying JERRY GARCIA formerly of the GRATEFUL DEAD. PE is always attached to my navel. A DVD will emerge in August 2001 from our 1999 performance at the HOUSE OF BLUES as well as some choice underground stuff.

5. TOURING; Although I love it, in 2000 I had to dedicate myself to creating new platforms. As far as PE, a semi-retired touring state means if there's a purpose and reason. We're thinking SOUTH AFRICA this year and perhaps parts of SOUTH AMERICA, ASIA and perhaps AUSTRALIA into 2002. I couldn’t commit to CONFRONTATION CAMP, tour-wise, because of inner sked conflicts and construction. It would've been a ball rollin with the INSANE CLOWN POSSE though. Another possible tour could be taking a moving caravan of SlamJamz artists around web-wired clubs as part of either the DIGITAL CLUB NETWORK or hooking in with eight HOUSE OF BLUES venues across the map.

6. SLAMJAMZ; As I said there's a commitment in recording and production, as well as recruiting and manufacturing. I've aligned some good peeps that want to be involved in creating something of a throwback of record companies past, which also is a platform for me to record… a label which is something energetic, exciting and fun. Plus, I love to hark back to my art-design days in making BLUE NOTE styled covers for mp3 singles and albums, it’s a passion of mine especially now on my G3 MAC.

7. SPONSORSHIPS/ENDORSEMENTS; As part of this digital revolution I involve myself with tech companies that the public will support that make getting their music easier. I no doubt support the RIO MP3 Player as well as running the EASYBUY MP3 TRIP CD player on RAPSTATION banner ads. There's also a home cable system called ZAPSTATION that is able to sit on top of your TV, access the web, pull down MP3s and burn them to CD, all in one unit. ZAPMEDIA is the company, based in the ATL, I fully support them as well. I'm down with anything that breaks up the entertainment monopolies. Oh yeah, I'm working with some cats who's MP4 technology will allow you to e-mail or pull down movies and videos, and as far as NAPSTER, the government can't stop the bum rush. In a minute we'll show all how to start their own low budget file sharing business.

8. BOOK PUBLISHING; PROFESSOR GRIFF, DAVEY D and myself, and even HARRY ALLEN and some others will seek to start our own book imprint called OFFTABOOKS and UNDERTHERADAR publishing. Everybody's got a gang of things to say and small runs will be the rule. Now that hip hop is so-called mainstream we as authors will be important. PE archive books, as well as my COUNTDOWN TO ARMAGGEDDON journal - 1997-2000 - and LYRICS OF A RAP REVOLUTIONARY amongst some other ideas.

9. LECTURES; Well I've been on the lecture circuit since 1990 and it's one of the most fruitful aspects of my career. From the HOWARDS to the HARVARDS as well as some high schools (now as part of the URBAN CAMPFIRE experience on RAPSTATION) and prisons. It’s a primary function of what I do, to give advice, counsel, and tell folk that logic and intelligence can be connected to hip hop. I've just completed the busiest lecture series of my career, I don’t know if it's been BEHIND THE MUSIC or what but it's been hectic and that’s good.
