Walking through Roosevelt Field shopping mall November 2004, so called xmas shopping season, x is right because of the unknown upcoming. Working AirAmerica radio the past 8 months made me ready and prepared for the worst case scenario at all times. I choose not to consider myself a pessimist but my realities always expect the worst. I covered both conventions, the 3 debates,the campaign stump and trails, visited and rallied peeps in the 'swing' states of Wisconsin ,Ohio,and Michigan .

Naturally peeps are bummed out, i hosted SLAMBush events, and never have i sEen the attitude of the youth and young adults(there is a difference) on the same page. This is good and it needs to be built upon. Puffsters CITIZEN vote or die CHANGE and Russells HIP HOP Summitt ACTION network with DR BEN CHAVIS all did their thing, as well as the scores of lesser known but incredibly hard working, dynamite organizations who put it down to get the administration and its president out. Now what?  I was telling people that coming from the black community there was a difference between JOHN KERRY and sob, meaning if Kerry was elected i figured I and the rest of the community would have about 65 days till inauguration to get some organization and act together to make some things progress the next 4 years. The bushkrieg 2 just meant getcha ass off the canvas , take a weekend breath, and get to work monday. This is where we are at.  Again its up to the people in America that want to feel like they're part of the planet to open up communication to the earth by all means possible. To not be blind to the rest of the earth, like this president (who wondered in 2000 if there were black people in BRAZIL!!!). I suggest that people of color, real democratic thinkers (not meaning party) and other minoritywomen,gays etc ( the gay marriage issue was a big tactic on the ballot, and having this personal choice trigger a political leader in 2004 is some backwater cracker sht) just get a passport. 18% of americans i'm told have one. This is terrible for a so called international country . Then again sob de-emphasized the United Nations,and his administration exercised the rule of fear across much of amerikkkan psyche. To the point of the USA feeling insolated and protected, and never wanting to leave if ever.  This is a peoples answer to the new patriot 2 act. I'm not suggesting that anyone leave or anything, but rather telling those to expand their state of mind by just making that $90,blingfree pickup. This is where Puffster, Russell or whoever can pick up the momentum , and rather easy to do. Its another challenge to open to window of opportunity to convicted felons and those with business aspirations. Outsourcing was a Democratic Party target , but it may be a saving grace to reconnect the lost black souls of america to the diaspora. Community exchange between Africa, South America, Asia, Carribbean ,and even Eastern Europe can bridge-build dual areas.  At least the pressure of Kerry not turning into this centurys Woodrow Wilson as far as blackfolk are concerned. Concern of voting power..took the friday trek afterwards down to Cincinnati to help out the swingstate drive and get involved. Cincinnati is a spot long for being a geographical midpoint politically, and industrial wise..the gateway to the north,the south, the east and the west. Vice Mayor Alicia Reese took me around to radio stations ,clubs, a concert at Xavier University featuring TALIB KWELI and HI-TEK, and a Final FRIDays event where i personally had a ball. Jetted from there do do radio show that monday Nov 1st, only to broadcast that next morning from my barbers shop in ATL, and finish at night broadcast of the campaign headquarters in Columbus Ohio.   Wanting time off...oh boy...the games of basketball and major rap are the result of the groundwork of the Jordans and the Run Dmcs. Work. The playoffs were so important for the players because they needed the money. Artists made the records because they had to use them on the road to work. A lotta money, a lot of time, and no direction in life is not a good thing..

R I P ODB ..my thoughts are that i'd already been saddened since his release from prison. I had heard from inside sources that he had been kind of unstable and that he was signed by the ROC camp. Just judging from the sources and the interviews he was doing , you could hear cries for help, but dont let me be the in retrospector. Its just that i felt that the WU camp stabilized him somewhat , and alone it could've been a bit cloudy... ..the bad news of the death of ODB. All this Dirt McGirt talk ,and ROC A FELLA trying to ready his release showed the exploitation of an unstable mind and soul. I think just feeding an unstable condition money, and opportunity just isnt enough to fix sht without repairing or at least recognizing the ill. Flav was really affected as he was offering his help to ODB and was about to do collab. Let his soul rest...and not make everything seem like entertainment in ones life.

Detroit Metro Airport is hands down one of the best. The shops and restaurants are fantastic . And i picked up some things from the Motown shop...been thru there twice this past 40 days , late october switching planes headed to kalamazoo for western michigan lecture and recently for speech at Wayne State. In fact i heard on the PA system call Shawn Carter and Kanye West to a gate as they we running late, no i didnt run into them.

Speaking at Wayne State afterwards had good chat hanging with EBer Hypestyle and choppin it up with PVT Militant he of the Impossebulls and the solo album One Man Against Many ...that same night in Detroit we watched the fights break out in the large screen in FISHBONE the motor city eatery.

Even though it was sick, its in the air as i was at the GARDEN IN NYC sitting near Zab Judah and behind Floyd Mayweather and his manager mr RAP A LOT J Prince.... people were watch fights in the stands more than the 8 heavyweights in the ring. 

Again ...I was completely blown off the mark by RAY..nuff said. As told to me two years ago by JAMIE FOXX the acting across the board was impeccable LARENZ TATE, HARRY LENNIX BOKEEM WOODBINE, the characters played to a T. I fell in love with REGINA KING , and Kerry Washington and especially Aunjanue Ellis... and the interesting fact is that REGINA was in the Cant Truss It video in 1991, as well as Mr CLITON POWELL who was in HAZY SHADE OF CRIMINAL the next year. EASILY MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME. Beating out Dead Presidents whereas many of the same characters were in both flicks....

I wanna let everybody know because of my dedication this year on trying to get the bushout , i was more absent from the board than ever.
