Throwback Image: Chuck D and B-Real
There's a saying that goes “Pictures are worth a thousand words,” and the stories that those words bring to mind. The same rings true with this particular shot, as this day in hip-hop throws back to Prophets of Rage and Chuck D on BRealTV.
Astonishingly, the band itself formed not that long ago, tracing the beginning of their infamous “Make America Rage Again” from May to October just last year. The supergroup comprises of Rage Against The Machine (minus Zack de la Rocha), both DJ Lord and Chuck D of Public Enemy, and Cypress Hill lead emcee, B-Real.
Since then, the PE frontman has involved himself in numerous collaborative projects both on and off stage, with inclusion of a recent appearance with lead guitar player Tom Morello at the LAX airport in tandem with public protestors.
In terms of Chuck' partnering with B-Real, the two make up a volatile duo on stage, dishing out their signature styles and trademark personas perfecting the rock-hop sounds generated by the bands instrumentation. On the other hand, the two very well display stellar antics off the stage as well, much of which was exhibited through Chuck's recent appearances on the Cypress Hill emcee's BRealTV.
For instance, Chuck shares the interesting history behind the classic PE hit-single, “Public Enemy No. 1,” featured on a special edition of B-Real's interactive live streaming series. In another appearance, the rap legend stops by for a memorable interview with B-Real & The Crew in an episode of “The Dr. Greenthumb Show”.
Both of which can be viewed via Youtube, where you can view all of B-Real's antics with special guest stars; So if you're up for a throwback, be sure to check them out!
