Chuck D With Acclaimed Film Director, Spike Lee
March 12th, 2017

Lifelong Knicks fans Chuck D and acclaimed film director Spike Lee bond over their love of the game at a home game in 2014.

Public Enemy and Spike Lee first teamed up when Lee asked the group to create the theme for his celebrated 1989 film Do The Right Thing. Public Enemy responded with "Fight The Power," a song that perfectly encapsulated the film's themes of racial tension and injustice. The song continues to be a popular anthem for social discourse to this day. Almost a decade later, Public Enemy reunited with Lee once again to create an entire record that served as both PE's sixth studio album as well as the soundtrack to Lee's 1998 basketball drama, He Got Game.
