S1W, or Security of the First World, are Public Enemy's disciplined, military-style security and performance troupe, known for their red berets, fatigues, and choreographed drills, embodying the group's message of Black empowerment, resistance, and self-determination, evolving from local security to integral stage presence and tour managers, symbolizing power and purpose.
The S1Ws were more than just bodyguards; they are a living embodiment of Public Enemy's revolutionary message, showcasing order, power, and Black unity. Today the members of the S1W's are Pop Diesel and James Bomb.
